Deborah Ayorinde was born in London, England. At age seven, she performed in her first play with a drama school in the Forest Gate area of London. It was there that she developed a passion for the arts. When she was eight years old, she and her family relocated to San Jose, California.
In May of 2009, she graduated with honors from Howard University's John H. Johnson School of Communications with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production. Her credits include, but are not limited to, “Barbershop: The Next Cut,” “Game of Silence” (NBC), “Sleepy Hollow” (FOX), “Constantine” (NBC), and “Necessary Roughness” (USA). She also starred in TV One’s upcoming movie “Bad Dad Rehab,” which aired this past summer. In addition to acting and modeling, Deborah is also passionate about directing, writing, and fashion. She even owns her own online fashion boutique but has it on hold to focus on her acting.
Deborah’s career-changing project, Luke Cage, recently premiered on Netflix. She stars as Candace Miller and her character plays a crucial role to the series’ storyline. An announcement for her new film project will release shortly as well.
